PASTOR'S WELCOME

I want to begin by thanking you for checking out the website of Friendly Community Baptist Church.   It is our desire that this site provides you with the information and resources you need to get plugged into a church family that is passionate about God and others.   We believe you will find Friendly to be place where God is exalted and people are loved.   Our goals are simple, we exist to help others Connect to God, create Communities of Believers, and Change the World.   

I invite you to experience for yourself one of Friendly’s worship services; we meet each Sunday at 9:45 and 11:00 and Sunday evening at 6 PM.    Expect to attend an event structured to exalt God though quality music, warm fellowship, and practical Scripture messages.     The purpose for these weekly services is to connect people to God and we want you to leave saying to yourself, “I have been to church today” and we ask you to invite your friends and family to attend a service with you.

We are also passionate about creating communities of believers and we feel this is best accomplished through our Sunday School ministries and mid-week small groups.    Friendly offers a variety of children and adult Bible classes each Sunday – it is in these small groups where people get to know one another better, learn more about being involved in ministry at Friendly, and more importantly dig deep into the Word of God.    The Bible is the most exciting book in the world, it changes lives, and we are convinced of its ability to not only answer life’s tough questions but to also provide stability and direction to those who live what it teaches.     Sunday School is where it’s at, please take the time to review the list of classes offered each week and be on the lookout for new classes being offered throughout the year.   

Changing the world…Friendly is a church that is committed to helping others find their niche or purpose in life by helping them succeed in the areas that count the most: God, family, and career.    I feel it is important that our church be visible and involved in our community and with the help of so many talented and passionate people we are grateful to be making a difference in our neighborhood, schools, ball fields, and work places.    The church is God’s way of ministering to others…we are His hands and feet.   I invite you to be a part of something special, something significant – a church that brings a smile to God by being…
